Description Position Data: Title: Summer Food Delivery Driver Grade: 2 Exempt Non-Exempt X Reports to: Director Child Care Council II. Basic Function or Position Summary: Responsible for the safe and timely delivery of meals and supplies to Summer Food Service Program sites across Chautauqua County. Ensures proper food handling during transport, adheres to delivery schedules, and provides courteous customer service to site staff. Temporary Part- Time position For the duration of the Summer Food Program: Beginning date: 6/29/26 ending date : 8/21/26 $16.00/hourly up to 29 hours/weekly Mon-Fri 7:00 am- 1:00 pm Requirements II. Security Clearance: None III. Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties: · Safely load meals, beverages, and supplies into delivery vehicle. · Deliver meals and supplies to assigned sites on schedule. · Ensure food safety and proper temperature control during transport. · Follow safe driving practices and obey all traffic laws. · Assist with unloading and organizing deliveries at sites. · Collect and return empty containers, trays, and coolers to the kitchen. · Maintain cleanliness of delivery vehicle. · Report any vehicle maintenance needs or delivery issues to supervisor. · Complete required delivery logs and temperature documentation. · Support Kitchen IV. Key Working Relationships: A. Internal: Child Care Council kitchen staff, Director Child Care Council B. External: Site Coordinators, Vendors, and community partners V. Supervisory Scope: A. Number of staff supervised: 0 B. Titles supervised: None VI. Organizational Responsibilities: · Adheres to Summer Food, food preparation and delivery regulations · Adheres to all policies and procedures · Gathers appropriate documentation and tracks outcomes · Participates in organizational committee structures as appropriate · Participates in organizational and divisional management systems VII. Knowledge, Skills Required: · 18 years of age or HS diploma/GED · Valid Driver’s License · Safe Driving record · Experience with delivery driving preferred · Knowledge of basic food safety and handling practices · Ability to follow delivery schedules and complete paperwork accurately VIII. Physical · Ability to lift up to and including 25-50 pounds of physical effort X. Special Requirements: · Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times · Valid Driver’s license · Reliable transportation · Authorized Driver of a COI Vehicle · Ability to travel throughout the county · Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required; subject to random drug and alcohol testing for cause
