Job Overview Accommodate all campuses with the necessary tools for the upcoming year, by retrieving and delivering textbook orders in a prompt and timely manner. Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for the delivery and retrieval of textbooks from campuses Assist during audits by counting all state adopted textbooks on all campuses for yearly inventory purposes Pull and process textbook orders Perform shipping and receiving of instructional materials to campuses for the upcoming school year Unpack and inspecting shipments for damages and defects, verifying accuracy of shipments received Stock materials, supplies, and merchandise on shelves in a neat and orderly manner Operate forklift, pallet jacks and hand-dollies in receiving, comply with all safety rules and regulations regarding operation of equipment Assist in loading and unloading of 18 wheelers Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above essential duties satisfactorily. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development is required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress. Additional Information Heavy lifting up to 45 lbs. Work in un-air conditioned environments/ outdoors for extended periods of time. Must be able to handle stressful situations and work under time pressure when necessary. May work with school-age children, teachers, administrators and external business partners.
