Job Description About Technology & Process Electro and Hydro Mechanical The Electro technical unit (TTTE) supports operations and projects within hydropower, wind and solar power plants in Statkraft. TTTE also provides global technical governance for main components common for all the technologies mentioned. You’ll be part of a team that combines expertise, experience, and innovation to drive the development of renewable energy. What Can You Expect? As a summer intern with us, you’ll: Gain valuable work experience in the electro technical area of dry type transformers for station power supply and exciter systems Work on real-world challenges and contribute to projects that directly impact our business Enjoy an inspiring work environment where you’ll collaborate with skilled colleagues and other students Receive tailored training to enhance your professional and technical skills Build your network with employees and fellow interns through social events and activities Visit one of our power plants to see how renewable energy is produced in practice Examples of Tasks You Might Work On Depending on the needs of the department and your interests, you may work on: Mapping of Statkraft’s dry type exciter and station power transformers aiming to identify interchangeable (mutual spare) units Identify requirements potentially forming the basis for new technical requirements Literature studies related to technical issues associated with dry type exciter and station power transformers Build electromagnetic transient model of the exciter circuits for synchronous generators in the Power Factory simulation tool Tasks will be tailored to ensure you work on areas that excite and engage you the most! Qualifications Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for students who: Are passionate about renewable energy and sustainable solutions Have strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach to work Are motivated, proactive, and enjoy working in teams Are studying high voltage systems, power electronics or electric machines Are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree Additional Information Application deadline: 20.01.2026 Duration: Mid-June to mid-August 2026, the program also includes two weeks of vacation Location: Statkraft HQ, Lilleakerveien 6A, 0283 Oslo Final Presentation: The program concludes with interns presenting their work to management and colleagues (in English) Why Choose Us?
