Recruitment for Gateway First Bank’s 2026 Summer Intern Program is underway! 10-week paid internship running from Tue, May 26 – Fri, July 31. Our Jenks/Tulsa, OK corporate location will host two interns this year, projects are as follows: Accounting major proficient in Excel: Hands-on internship as this person will get to learn and process month-end closing activities such as financial reporting and reconciliation of cash accounts, close the books and make ready to present to management! Microsoft Power Automate exp would be helpful but not a requirement. Finance major with strong Excel skills: Help grow the end-to-end profitability of Gateway First Bank’s mortgage and banking divisions by investigating profitability drivers. This person will understand data driven insights for business growth and profitability and be comfortable gaining knowledge through relationships and conversations. PowerBI exp would be helpful but not a requirement. Bonus challenge: utilize AI tools to optimize procedures and analysis…so a person who is curious in this space will have a lot of fun!   Summer Intern JOB SUMMARY: This internship is designed to provide valuable insight into the mortgage or banking industry with practical working knowledge. An intern will participate in various processes within a selected department and value-added projects. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional environment, offering exposure to relevant job functions. At the end of the internship, a resume reflecting experience gained will be submitted along with a presentation of his/her completed project. Summer Intern SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: * Gains overview of various lines of business. * Learns how to present new ideas or research to management. * Takes ownership of 1-3 valued projects that can be completed within duration of the program. * Assist with department projects, research, and data collection. * Collaborate with team members on process improvements and workflow enhancements. * Exercises awareness with regard to possible suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior and reports any such incidents to the BSA department. Performs all job functions in compliance with all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations as applicable to the position, including, but not limited to BSA/AML, OFAC and GLBA/privacy rules. * Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned. Qualifications Summer Intern REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:   Knowledge/Skills/Abilities * Basic knowledge of banking, mortgage, loan servicing or business administration. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office. * Ability to identify & implement process improvements. * Resourceful & takes initiative. * Exemplifies the Gateway Values: Growth Oriented, Make a Difference, "Get it Done" Attitude, Team Player, Do the Right Thing.   Equivalent Education/Experience * Graduation from High School. * Enrolled in a college degree program preferably majoring in business, accounting, finance or applied mathematics.   Summer Intern SPECIAL JOB DIMENSIONS: Work requires no lifting of more than 10 pounds, typing and computer work, i.e. sedentary, little to no external customer interaction. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to structured deadlines.
