Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in agriculture or a related field is a must.
  • Knowledge of dairy farming practices and industry trends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Excel is an asset.

Trouw Nutrition is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Summer Intern to join our Ruminant Team as a Dairy Customer Support specialist. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in providing support to our existing dairy customers and fostering new business relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for a student currently studying a field aligned with agriculture to gain hands-on experience and contribute to meaningful projects.
About The Role: Support and grow our dairy customer base while gaining hands-on agricultural experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current dairy customers.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products and services.
  • New Business Development:
  • Actively seek out and pursue new business opportunities within the dairy sector.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential clients and market trends.
  • Participate in outreach activities to expand the customer base.
  • Value-Add Activities:
  • Develop and implement value-added initiatives to enhance customer experience.
  • Provide insights into industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers on product usage and optimization.
  • Special Projects:
  • Contribute to and lead special projects related to dairy operations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Present findings and recommendations to the Central Ruminant Team.
  • Sales Support:
  • Assist sales representatives with their activities as needed.
  • Provide technical expertise and product knowledge during customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and deliver effective sales strategies.

EXPECTATION FROM THE ROLE:

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Enhance customer experience through value-added activities.
  • Provide support and expertise to the sales team.
  • A valid driver’s licence is required.
  • Travel on farms and sites are required.
  • The ideal intern is expected to begin in May to August 2025
