Department Description GSK’s Packaging, Device and Design Solutions team is charged with the delivery of robust, patient-centric devices and primary packaging solutions to enable the effective delivery of novel pharmaceuticals across all modalities and routes of administration. Our group is a multi-skilled team of Engineers and Scientists who work across all stages of the product and process development lifecycle, from the discovery interface through concept design, selection and, ultimately, the registrational submission and commercial supply. You will join a dynamic and growing team that is key to delivering an expanding portfolio. In this role you will: Ensure the selected devices meet the user requirements through lab testing activities, and simulation work packages. Use problem-solving skills and different strategies to support risk mitigation activities and/or root cause analysis for interrogation of test results. Minimum Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelors (Juniors or Seniors only), Masters, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines. Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the 12 week internship (May/June ~ August 2026). Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible. Preferred Qualifications Experience/interest in development of drug-device combination (DDC) products or medical devices. Experience working in a lab and following SOPs. Creative and motivated self-starter, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively in team and matrix environments.
