Description History: Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20 and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital. POSITION PURPOSE The Intern shall participate in job-shadowing and assist and work with the department staff. The Intern will be responsible for assisting the department staff with general office duties including, but not limited to, research, data entry, filing and general coordination. Under the supervision of a licensed professional assists in providing patient care, prepares records, and maintains a clean environment. Requirements Education: Preferred High School Graduate or equivalent. Licenses/Certificates: Current CPR/BLS certification Experience: Ability to read and write, effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to comprehend and follow verbal or written instructions.
