Description Company Description: Dagostino Electronic Services, Inc. (DES) is a full-service technology integrator with over 50 years experience serving Pittsburgh, the tri-state area and beyond. Since our founding as a data cabling firm, we have grown over the decades to bring a quality and detail-focused approach to not only the copper / fiber backbone of a project, but all of the devices and related services that depend on that communications infrastructure. Our specific practice areas include copper / fiber cabling, IT/OT network infrastructure, video and access control security, multimedia, as well as advanced lighting and energy solutions for the telecommunications industry. Position Description: As a Project Management Summer Intern, you will be working with our construction project management team as we execute contracts of all sizes across all practice areas of the company. The internship will run from May – August 2026 and offer valuable industry and functional insight. Our current projects range in size from small installations requiring one or two days of labor through multi-year major engagements with some of the nation’s largest contracting partners. While this internship will focus on Project Management functions, it will also involve training in the following functional areas: • reading / understanding project specifications • reading / understanding architectural drawings • developing project responsibility matrices • OSHA safety standards for construction sites • project progress reporting / scheduling • developing methods and procedures for projects Requirements Responsibilities: • Participating in multiple cross-functional teams • Assisting with both in-office and in-the-field project management work • Learning overall project management best practices • Helping to review drawings, specifications, as well as with processing submittals • Assisting with scheduling, responsibility documentation, reporting etc. • Work setting is a mix of in-office (60%) and job site (40%) Qualifications / Characteristics: • Currently enrolled in a four-year college program • Attention to detail • Strong communication skills (written and oral) • Interest in learning about commercial construction, specifically the electrical / telecommunications industries • Valid/Current PA Driver’s License • Internship would be Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00 pm EST (in some project-driven cases, hours may be 7:00am – 3:00 pm). DES offices are closed for Memorial Day (5/25/26) and Independence Day (observed Friday 7/3/26). • Dress is business casual (office) and OSHA-compliant for construction site visits (same as business casual with closed-toe shoes, ankle-length pants). DES will provide any necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

The intern will assist the construction project management team across various company practice areas, focusing on project management functions while receiving training in reading specifications and drawings, developing matrices, and understanding safety standards. Responsibilities include participating in cross-functional teams, assisting with in-office and field project management tasks, reviewing drawings, and helping with scheduling and reporting.
