The Structured Products & Securities Lending Sales Specialist is a key member of the Private Banking Sales (Singapore) – Structured Products & Securities Lending team responsible for the sales and execution of structured products as well as the sales efforts of securities lending business. The individual will embark on a dynamic 8-12 week programme combining day-to-day business activities and challenging projects. The individual will benefit from getting exposure to the opportunities and challenges of the wealth management industry. The Summer Internship - GPS Structured Products & Securities Lending Sales Specialist reports to Head of Private Banking Sales (Singapore) – Structured Products & Securities Lending. YOUR CHALLENGE People management Contribute to the strengthening of the team spirit and the fostering of a collaborative work environment Build highly impactful relationships with global and regional stakeholders across functions in the Bank Client management (internal & external) Provide business support to internal stakeholders Business management Support the team’s strategic objectives and operational goals, driving business outcomes and results Identify opportunities to enhance functional efficiency and productivity, proposing process improvements and workflow optimisations, where relevant/appropriate Regulatory responsibilities &/or risk management Meet all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards/requirements Adhere to the standards and expectations outlined in the relevant user manuals and guidelines Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviours including, but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations YOUR PROFILE Personal & social Able to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds in a highly articulate and professional manner Strong interpersonal skills, empathic personality, charisma, and power of persuasion Open and approachable as well as displaying genuine interest in people Drive for results Strong ability for planning, organising, and communicating a clear vision Good judgement and ability to work under pressure Professional & technical Students currently enrolled in an undergraduate programme from the second year of study onwards, or pursuing a Master’s degree, preferable in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields. Students with experience in developing automated solutions for financial modelling, scenario analysis, and hedging portfolio strategies—particularly using programming languages such as Python or VBA - are strongly preferred. Prior exposure to quantitative finance, risk management frameworks, and the practical implementation of hedging techniques in dynamic portfolios is highly desirable. Proficiency in data analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, optimisation methods, or the use of financial libraries further enhances suitability for this role.
