Your team Join the Institutional Foreign Exchange and Precious Metal Sales desk of Julius Baer and get a first-hand experience of the global Foreign Exchange and Precious Metals markets. Learn about markets, Foreign Exchange and Precious Metals and most importantly about the coverage of institutional accounts in Switzerland and abroad. During your internship, you will work closely with various stakeholders across the floor. From various trading desks, mid- and back-office functions to our tech staff, you will gain an in-depth understanding not only of Foreign Exchange but also a chance to learn about other asset classes. YOUR CHALLENGE What to work on: Support the team with complex pricing requests Contribute in strategic reviews to scale business Participate in daily trading operations servicing clients Collaborate with support functions to ensure service stability Assist in preparing reports and presentations Handle fundamental analysis via spread sheets What to learn: Develop an understanding of trading mechanisms Gain insight in booking methodology and risk management Learn about technical analysis Be involved in handling of multi dealer platforms Gain basic understanding of the world’s biggest and fastest asset class Learn about macroeconomic interdependencies YOUR PROFILE Bachelor student from 2nd year onwards or enrolled Master student in the field(s) of Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields Initial practical experience in the financial industry, content production, digital media, or project support is a plus Strong interest in economics, financial markets, and investment-related topics Proactive, open-minded, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment Passion for wealth management and a desire to create value beyond wealth A global mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong appetite for learning Fluency in English, with additional languages being a plus Registered in the country of application with a valid work permit Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
