We are committed to innovation, rapid prototyping, and solving complex engineering challenges that push the boundaries of modern technology.   Position Summary Forward Edge-AI is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer Intern to support research, integration, and testing efforts within our Advanced Research & Development team. This role is ideal for a senior undergraduate or graduate student interested in RF systems, communications technologies, and system integration. The intern will work alongside cross-functional engineering teams to develop test plans, support system integration, analyze performance data, and contribute to documentation and process improvements.   Key Responsibilities RF Systems Integration & Testing * Support the development and execution of integration and test plans for RF and communications systems * Assist in configuring and testing software-defined radio (SDR) platforms * Participate in system-level integration activities across hardware and software components   Data Analysis & Reporting * Analyze test data and system performance results * Translate findings into clear reports, presentations, and actionable recommendations * Support performance evaluation and optimization efforts   Cross-Functional Collaboration * Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams * Help define interface requirements and resolve integration challenges * Support troubleshooting and validation efforts across system components   Documentation & Process Support * Document key processes, procedures, and test results with high accuracy * Support development of technical documentation and integration workflows * Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and optimization   Required Qualifications * Currently a senior undergraduate or Master’s student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field * Experience working with software-defined radios (SDR) * Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or MATLAB * Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy * Analytical mindset with interest in systems integration and process optimization * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment   Preferred Qualifications * Exposure to RF systems, signal processing, or communications engineering * Experience with testing and integration of hardware/software systems * Familiarity with lab equipment or simulation tools * Interest in defense, communications, or advanced technology systems   Core Competencies * Systems thinking and problem-solving * Analytical and data-driven mindset * Technical documentation and reporting * Collaboration across engineering disciplines * Attention to detail and accuracy   Learning Outcomes * Hands-on experience with RF systems and software-defined radio technologies * Exposure to real-world system integration and testing processes * Experience analyzing technical data and presenting findings * Development of cross-functional engineering collaboration skills   Why Forward Edge-AI This internship offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies within a fast-paced research and development environment.
