FINANCE INTERN — Summer 2026 Location: Memorial City (Houston, TX) — Full-Time, On-Site Only Program Dates: June 1 – July 24, 2026 (8-week commitment required) Compensation: Paid Internship Department: Finance Status: Competitive Internship — real-world, high-impact experience About the Internship MetroNational’s Finance Internship gives students hands-on exposure to corporate finance, investment analysis, budgeting, and performance metrics in a dynamic real estate environment. Interns engage in meaningful departmental assignments (~75%) and company-wide learning, shadowing, and career development (~25%). You’ll work with finance professionals who embody our values of Trust, Integrity, Impact, and Legacy, contributing to work that informs leadership decisions and supports long-term organizational planning. This program is competitive and provides real-world analytical and financial experience that strengthens your professional foundation. What You’ll Do (Generalized for flexibility) Assist with financial analysis related to operating expenses, capital projects, asset performance, or revenue trends. Support the budgeting and forecasting process by preparing inputs, gathering data, and validating assumptions. Help analyze financial models, business cases, or investment opportunities. Conduct research to support decision-making, benchmarking, or market comparisons. Participate in special projects related to corporate finance, asset management, or operational efficiency. Document findings and present a final project summary at the end of the internship. Technologies you'll be exposed to Excel, Power BI, or other financial reporting tools Budgeting, planning, or financial modeling software Internal performance dashboards and financial systems ARGUS (experience with ARGUS for real estate valuation or cash flow modeling is a plus) (Exposure varies based on project assignments.) Requirements Education & Training Pathways Candidates may qualify through any of the following: Enrollment in an accredited college or university majoring in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, or Enrollment in or recent completion of an accredited finance, analytics, or business trade/technical program, or Completion of a recognized certificate program (financial modeling bootcamp, investment analysis course, etc.) All applicants must submit a transcript or program record, showing: Minimum 3.2 GPA for college students Equivalent evaluation for trade/certificate programs Additional Requirements Must commit to full-time, on-site participation for the full 8-week program (June 1 – July 24, 2026). Remote internships are not available. Partial-availability candidates may be considered with lower priority. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
