CLIMATE FINANCE INTERN | 10-WEEK FTC | DUBLIN 4

Philip Lee LLP, a prestigious full-service law firm headquartered in Dublin. They are currently looking for a final year law student or law graduate to join their Climate Finance team for a 10-week Summer Internship placement. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading climate finance team.

The Team:
Our market-leading climate finance team supports global clients on a range of transactional and advisory matters both in Ireland and internationally. The team prides themselves on being legal advisors to clients who share the firm’s values – these values include taking all measures necessary to align economic development with the goals of the Paris Agreement and the Montreal Convention on Biological Diversity. As well as private sector clients they advise governments and trade bodies on jurisdictional-level projects and the emerging international law framework.
The Role:

The successful individual will:

  • Review and draft various documents.
  • Remain informed about legal developments in climate finance law and the evolving international laws under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
  • Assist the team as they support clients with structuring, developing, and investing in climate change mitigation and adaptation projects both domestically and in many jurisdictions around the world.
  • Assist the team as they advise a broad range of clients on emission reduction projects as well as carbon dioxide removal (CDR) through natural and engineered solutions.

About You:

  • The ideal candidate will be a final year student enrolled in a degree or module relating to climate law.
  • You have either secured a 2.1 or above or be on track to.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • PC Skills (Word, Excel, Power point etc).
  • Ability to work in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
  • A willingness to contribute to a busy and ambitious team.
