Internship Details: Internships are: Duration: 12-week learning journey Position: Full-time, paid summer internship Program: Comprehensive projects that allow you to make a real impact Experience: Hands-on work and the chance to build a diverse network Who We’re Looking For: We are looking for candidates currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems for our upcoming summer internships. Responsibilities: Power System Analysis: Use Hitachi Energy Network Manager Energy Management System (EMS) to perform Power System analysis such as running State Estimator analysis, Load Flow Analysis and Contingency Analysis. Technical Support: Provide technical knowledge, experience, and support in EMS (Energy Management Systems) to the Hitachi Energy Professional Services Organization (PSO). Software deployment and configuration: Prepare, setup, and configure Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS from scratch. Gather data required by Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS. Configure and deploy Hitachi Energy EMS applications (e.g., power flow, state estimator, contingency analysis) based on customer-specific requirements and use cases. Software Development: Develop tailored software modifications, such as customizations and enhancements, to Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS baseline solution to meet specific customer requirements. Issue Resolution: Test, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the Network Manager EMS platforms. Project delivery and Customer Relationship Management: Work on customer-oriented projects to deliver Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS and ensure successful system operation in live production environments. Implement Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS and participate in project delivery. Work with customers, manage and maintain customer relationships. Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals. Your Background: Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, specifically focusing on Power Systems. Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred. Strong understanding of power system basics, such as State Estimator, Power Flow Studies, and Contingency Analysis. Basic software programming knowledge and a willingness to learn more about software programming. A can-do attitude and a willingness to find solutions to every challenge. Ability to work across cultures. Effective team player. Self-motivated and capable of working independently. Responsibilities
Interns will perform Power System analysis using Hitachi Energy Network Manager EMS and provide technical support to the Professional Services Organization.
