Description We are looking for an experienced Tutor to provide small group academic support to elementary and rising middle school students. This role focuses on leading structured tutoring sessions that strengthen reading, math, and overall academic skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Position Type: Part-Time, Seasonal (June 1 – July 10) Pay Rate: $20 per hour Schedule: 10–15 hours per week Requirements Lead small group or one-on-one tutoring sessions with a focus on ELA and Math Ensure students are actively learning and making progress during each session Maintain a positive and productive learning environment Track student participation and progress during sessions Collaborate with program staff to ensure alignment with daily activities Qualifications: Certification preferred, or relevant experience working with children in an academic setting Must have strong knowledge of elementary age concepts in reading and math Experience with tutoring, teaching, or academic support programs Ability to manage small groups and keep students engaged Strong communication and organization skills Reliable, self-directed, and able to work independently Ideal Candidate: Comfortable leading structured sessions with minimal supervision Able to build strong connections with students while maintaining expectations Focused on helping students improve and stay motivated
