Job Title: Summer Recreation Camp Counselor Location: Village of Pigeon  Job Type: Seasonal (Summer) Duration: June & July 2026 (Tuesday and Thursdays) 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (17 hours a week) Position Overview:  We are seeking energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Summer Recreation Camp Counselors. Counselors play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for campers while leading activities, building relationships, and serving as positive role models. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times * Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities such as sports, arts and crafts, games, and group events * Encourage participation and foster a supportive, inclusive camp environment * Assist with daily camp operations, including setup, and cleanup of activities * Address camper behavior appropriately and communicate any concerns to camp leadership * Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow all safety protocols * Work collaboratively with other counselors and staff Qualifications: * Must be at least 16 years old and have your own form of transportation  * Previous experience working with children preferred (camp, coaching, babysitting, etc.) * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a team-oriented environment * Dependable and positive attitude * CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain) Physical Requirements: * Ability to participate in active outdoor and indoor activities * Comfortable working in varying weather conditions Join us for a summer of fun, leadership, and making a difference in our community.   For questions regarding this position contact Jaylee Chandonnet, Community Wellness Manager or Yvonne Prill, Talent Acquisition Specialist.   Please submit employment applications online at www.scheurer.org/careers [http://www.scheurer.org/careers]/.   EEO/AA/Employer M/F/Disability/Vet
