Employer Overview Total Oilfield Rentals (TOR) offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Position Summary Reporting to the Shop Foreman the Summer Shop Hand, will be responsible for organizing parts and shop, complete deliveries, clean and maintain shop equipment and tools. This is a temporary position based out of our Leduc location, with the assignment expected to end at the end of August. Time Commitment 5 days on, 2 days off, 10 hour days. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): * Receive, understand and execute instructions from Shop Foreman and senior employees * Clean equipment and tools using high-power pressure washer * Disassemble equipment, if needed, to thoroughly clean * Identify faulty/damaged equipment and/or defective materials and inform supervisor of issues * Determine the correct type of tools/equipment to be used for a specific task * Utilize checklists, inspections, work procedures and safety guidelines to complete tasks * Maintain cleanliness throughout the shop, including work areas and common spaces Required Competencies * High school diploma or equivalent. * Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a shop or similar Working Conditions * Flexible and willing to be on call some weekends * Willing to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions What We Offer * Competitive compensation package * Committed to employee advancement and education We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.
