We are currently seeking a Summer Student - HSE/HR Assistant
Job Type: Summer Student

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Summer Student for the HSE/HR Assistant role to join our team, working under the supervision of the Manager of Health and Safety and the Manager of People & Culture. This role is essential in supporting our Health and Safety program while also aiding our People and Culture team in training and coordination activities.
Must have excellent communication skills and be a good problem solver as you will be dealing directly with staff in all areas of our business, whether on the phone, email or in person.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enrolled in Post Secondary Education with an interest in Environmental, Health and Safety or Human Resources.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of our Health and Safety program.
  • Coordinate training sessions in collaboration with the People and Culture team.
  • Manage scheduling, logistics, and communication for training initiatives.
  • Administrative tasks: filing, working in Word or Excel.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety and training activities.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by effectively communicating with team members.
