Description Knowlton and Hidden Hollow Swim Clubs are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Swim Coach to join our team for the upcoming summer season. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring young athletes, building strong swim fundamentals, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment. Position Overview The Swim Coach will support the Head Coach in leading the swim team program while also instructing group and private swim lessons for club members. This position plays an important role in both competitive team development and member instruction, helping swimmers of all levels build skill, confidence, and a love for the sport. Responsibilities Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting swim team practices Help develop swimmers’ technique in all four competitive strokes Provide encouragement, feedback, and individualized support to athletes Attend and assist at swim meets Teach group and private swim lessons to members of varying ages and abilities Emphasize water safety, stroke development, and skill progression Maintain a safe, positive, and structured practice and lesson environment Communicate professionally with parents, swimmers, and club leadership Qualifications Competitive swim experience required; prior coaching or teaching experience preferred Strong knowledge of stroke mechanics, starts, and turns Ability to work collaboratively under the direction of the Head Coach Current Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications Reliable, responsible, and enthusiastic What We’re Looking For Positive energy and strong leadership presence Patience and the ability to work with swimmers of all skill levels Strong communication and motivational skills A team-first mindset and commitment to creating a supportive club culture This is a great opportunity for former swimmers, college athletes, or aspiring coaches looking to gain hands-on coaching and instructional experience in a fun, community-focused summer program.
