The Opportunity: Join us as a Fixed term Summer Technician and become a key player in keeping people safe on the road. In this hands-on role, you will be supporting our Auto Glazing team to repair and recalibrate vehicle glass using cutting-edge tools and technology—delivering top-quality workmanship every time. You’ll also be the face of our service, working directly with customers to provide expert advice, offer value-added products, and ensure every interaction is a great one. Location: Smith&Smith Invercargill Hours: 30 hours, rostered across the week. Fixed term: 1 December 2025 - 31 March 2026 What we’re looking for Motivated people with a passion for hands-on work, and a genuine interest in advancing technical skills with a keen eye for detail. No prior Autoglass repair and replacement experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training. A passion for exceptional customer service. The ability to learn new technology and systems quickly. Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to upsell value-added products and services. Physical capability to repetitively lift heavy items (up to 25kg) during a normal working day. A clean driver's license (restricted or full class) is a minimum requirement. You must have unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol pre-employment test.
