JOB SUMMARY

Sasken Finland Oy serves domestic and global customers in the design and development of hardware and software products and provides services for industries such as Telecommunication, Industrials and Defense, Medical, and Satcom. Sasken Finland has a strong track record of successfully delivering R&D product programs with high-end expertise in wireless technologies.
We are now looking for an Software Engineer to join our team in the Tampere office!

JOB DESCRIPTION

• design, coding, testing, bug fixing, documentation and technical support in the assigned area.
• on time delivery while adhering to quality and productivity goals.
• adhering to guidelines and checklists for all deliverable reviews, sending status report to team lead and following relevant organizational processes.
• for customer collaboration and interactions and support to customer queries. Expected to enhance technical capabilities by attending trainings, self-study and periodic technical assessments. Expected to participate in technical initiatives related to project and organization and deliver training as per plan and quality.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

You have gained work experience to be able to apply knowledge effectively and deliver results. You are able to demonstrate the ability to analyse and interpret complex problems and improve change or adapt existing methods to solve the problem.
You regularly interact with interfacing groups / customer on technical issue clarification and resolves the issues. You participate actively in important project/ work related activities and contribute towards identifying important issues and risks. Reach out for guidance and advice to ensure high quality of deliverables.
You are consistently seeking opportunities to enhance existing skills, acquire more complex skills and work towards enhancing proficiency level in your field of specialisation.

FOLLOWING SKILLS ARE REQUIRED

• Proficiency in C++, Objective-C, and Lua; experience in shell scripting.
• Practical software development skills.
• Familiarity with Linux, Unix, or MacOS environments.
• Strong teamworking skills in an international setting; fluent in written and spoken English.
• Optional but desirable: Experience with Python, Qt, or Java programming.
