We are now looking for a Summer Trainee, Tools & Processes, Pulp Operations to Lappeenranta.

You will also get introduced to pulp making processes and have possibility to utilize your technical skills in practice. What you will do

Exact content of the work will be determined by your skills and needs of the on-going development projects. Your work will contain elements from the following areas:

• Process data analysis (time series analysis)
• Dynamic process modelling
• Development of process KPI-indicators
• Tuning and development of the advanced process control systems
• Supporting UPM Digi & Data development projects

Who you are

• You are a self-motivated and results-driven person who is willing to learn new things
• You are automation engineering, process engineering, or other relevant area student who have already advanced in your studies
• You have hands-on technical skills in time series data analysis and dynamic process modeling
• You have practical experience on Matlab, Python and JavaScript
• Practical knowledge on pulp making process is an asset
• You communicate well in both in Finnish and English
