Instruction will be delivered in an environment conducive to the learning experience, including supervision of participants and assessment of participant skill levels in order to assist them with reaching program goals. * Utilizes effective classroom management skills; assist, advise and counsel a diverse student population with regard to program policies and standards while demonstrating sensitivity to student needs and circumstances. * Addresses questions or concerns and utilize training and instructional methods that reinforce learning. Seek support and guidance from the Lead Educational Instructor. * Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process, including but not limited to threaded class discussions, research, enrichment activities, physical activities, etc. Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree is preferred. * One year of work experience educational field; or two (2) or more years of related experience and/or training; experience working with the at-risk population strongly preferred. Previous experience working as a Tutor is preferred. * Must have appropriate and valid state driver’s license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd’s Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. * Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy. *This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by a person assigned to this job.
