    Summer Youth Employment 2026 Deadline for Submission: March 15, 2026 First Baptist Church of Glenarden is excited to announce our 2026 Summer Youth Employment Program.  Our program runs from June 29–August 7, 2026, and provides youth with an opportunity for workplace skill development that can lead to positive career choices and perhaps make the difference between incontestable self-development and youthful crime.   If you are a youth or young adult between the ages of 15-22 and are interested in applying for a summer position with First Baptist Church of Glenarden or SHABACH! Ministries, Inc., please complete the on-line application by clicking the APPLY button at the top of your screen. The application process can take up to 20 minutes and you will be required to submit a resume.  Whereas we understand that this is vacation/travel season, we are asking that you not apply for this program if you plan to miss more than one week of the program. Types of positions available include: * Summer Camp/Childcare – Summer Camp Counselors/Assistants. (largest need) * Administrative/Office Work (i.e., answering phones, filing, scanning documents, shredding, document creation). * Laborer (Indoor /Outdoor) - Positions include event set-up, painting, trash hauling, building repairs & maintenance, storage organization, warehouse work. * Creative/Technical - Positions include video and audio production/editing, graphic design, social media, content creation.
Responsibilities
This program offers youth employment opportunities from June 29 to August 7, 2026, focusing on developing workplace skills to guide positive career choices. Available roles span summer camp/childcare, administrative tasks, general labor, and creative/technical production.
