Description Job Title: Summer Youth Employment Program Participant (Intern) Department: Housing Authority of the Birmingham District (HABD) - Client Services Location: Birmingham, AL Job Type: Seasonal (Summer Program) Compensation: Hourly (Based on Program Guidelines) Program Overview: The Housing Authority of the Birmingham District (HABD) Summer Youth Employment Program offers young individuals the opportunity to develop leadership and mentorship skills by serving as Summer Interns. Job Responsibilities: Assist with daily administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation Provide customer service support by greeting visitors and responding to basic inquiries Support departmental projects and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner Engage with external agencies and community partners to gain hands-on work experience Attend and participate in professional development and career readiness workshops Maintain accurate records and assist with organizing files and reports Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete assignments Follow workplace policies, procedures, and professional standards Demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and time management skills Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations Other duties as assigned.
