JOB SUMMARY

Telework Within Minnesota and flexible hours options are available. Employees that live 50 miles or less from their primary/principal work location and live within the State may telework more than 50% with approval. * Employees may telework outside the state of Minnesota if they live in a state bordering Minnesota and live 50 miles or less from the primary/principal work location.

The Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, & Families is hiring two (2) SUN Bucks Support Advisors. The purpose of this position is to assist with developing and implementing support functions for the SUN Bucks program. These supports include policy and system training, system help desk, policy & system manuals, and answering policy questions via PolicyQuest. Development of these support functions requires strong ability to both analyze and interpret legislation and other policy direction and computer system specifications and reduce this complex information to clear and concise instructions.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing, developing and conducting computer system and policy training presentation materials that adequately reflect policy and system requirements for SUN Bucks
  • Developing and providing help desk services for the SUN Bucks system by performing complex analysis of user or system problems and communicate outcomes to SUN Bucks call center staff, MDE and MNIT
  • Developing and maintaining clear policy and system manuals for SUN Bucks
  • Setting up a process to answer SUN Bucks questions via PolicyQuest

Two (2) years of experience in program administration/management on a public assistance, human assistance, public welfare, education, health or nutrition program. Experience must demonstrate:

  • Program development by designing, developing and conducting computer system and policy training materials
  • Call center experience by answering Help Desk calls, log calls and providing Help Desk customers with accurate responses
  • Developing and maintaining clear policy and system manuals for public assistance programs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with determining eligibility for cash, food, or school nutrition assistance programs.
  • Lived Experience with any of the following programs: MFIP, SNAP, Tribal TANF, health care, and/or Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT).
  • Experience with using automated eligibility systems such as MAXIS and/or MMIS programs.
  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
