PAL are excited to be launching a brand-new Sunday Activity Club in Worcester, starting this October. The club will provide short breaks and respite opportunities for children with disabilities, offering a mix of fun activities such as arts and crafts, physical activity games, soft play, sensory room experiences, and chill time.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to take a lead role in delivering this exciting new project.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of weekly Sunday Activity Club sessions for children with SEN and disabilities.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Support and supervise a small staff/volunteer team.
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and children to create a positive experience.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing are prioritised at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and safeguarding concerns.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Extensive experience working with children who have SEN and disabilities.
  • Experience running/leading activities specifically for disabled children.
  • Good safeguarding knowledge, with a current safeguarding qualification (or willingness to update).
  • SEND-specific qualifications/certifications.
  • Must be available on Sundays.
  • Must hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience running or leading a children’s club or provision.
  • Level 3 Paediatric First Aid trained.
  • Additional training in areas such as:
  • Tube feeding
  • Allergy management (e.g., Epipen use)
  • Personal care
    (Training in these areas is desirable but not essential, and can be supported by PAL if required.)
