Behind the scenes, effective administration is essential to ensuring smooth operations, communication, and support for our teachers, parents, and students.
We are seeking a reliable and organized Administrative Assistant to help manage the day-to-day operations of our Sunday School.

JOB SUMMARY

The Administrative Assistant will handle attendance, fee management, communication with parents, and other administrative tasks that ensure the smooth running of the Sunday School program. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interact with parents and staff in a professional and welcoming manner.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience in administrative or clerical work (school or community setting preferred).
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) or Google Workspace tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with parents and staff politely and professionally.
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills.
  • Must live within or near Mississauga for punctuality and consistent attendance.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced Sunday school environment.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and enrollment.
  • Assist with fee collection and management, including tracking payments and providing receipts.
  • Handle printing, photocopying, and distribution of teaching materials, handouts, and announcements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for parents, addressing inquiries, sharing updates, and directing concerns to appropriate staff.
  • Support teachers with classroom resources and logistical needs.
  • Help organize and coordinate school events, field trips, and special activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, parents, and staff.
