Job summary- The fuel Driver will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport fuels to customer sites and AFD-owned card locks. This is a long-haul role.
Your Schedule: You will be maximizing your hours while driving long hauls and short hauls in combination.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the handling of loading and unloading fuel and fuel extraction and tank demobilization safely, applying safe practices, and be compliant with applicable acts and safety regulations.
  • Conducting pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
  • Wheel-to-wheel refueling of equipment from the fuel truck.
  • Following all legislation, including hours of service, occupational health and safety, and transportation of dangerous goods.
  • Maneuvering trucks into proper positions and handling minor roadside repairs (e.g., lights, fittings, and airlines).
  • Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, and traffic violations.
  • Ensuring load-related documentation is complete and accurate, including driver logs and bills of lading.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, co-workers, and officials.
  • Delivering products and paperwork in a timely, courteous manner.
  • Inspecting site tanks for damage or faulty equipment.
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness, greasing, and tire chain upkeep.
  • Completing necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
  • Willingness to train and mentor others.
  • Complete and scan all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. This may include, but is not limited to, Driver daily logs, TDG documentation including fuel lading forms (declining balance), FLHA’s bills of lading, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
