About the Role: The Superintendent 1 plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects meet quality, safety, and timeline requirements. This position is responsible for coordinating with various stakeholders including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution. The Superintendent 1 ensures compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies while maintaining a safe work environment. They are tasked with monitoring project progress, resolving issues promptly, and optimizing resource allocation to achieve project goals efficiently. Ultimately, this role is pivotal in delivering successful construction projects that meet or exceed client expectations while adhering to budgetary constraints. Minimum Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in construction management or related field is preferred. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction supervision or a related role. * Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes. * Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. * Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as required. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. * Certification such as OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety and Health or equivalent safety training. * Experience with project management software and construction scheduling tools. * Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams. * Familiarity with sustainable building practices and green construction standards. Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to project plans and schedules. * Manage subcontractors and labor teams, providing clear direction and support to maintain productivity and quality standards. * Conduct regular site inspections to monitor safety compliance and quality control measures. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to address technical issues and implement solutions. * Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project progress, incidents, and resource utilization. * Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies. * Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders to resolve conflicts and promote teamwork. * Oversee the procurement and delivery of materials to ensure timely availability and minimize delays. Skills: The Superintendent 1 utilizes strong organizational and leadership skills daily to coordinate complex construction activities and lead diverse teams effectively.
