Core Values: Helpful | Humble | Aware | Driven Position Overview:  The Superintendent I is an entry-level field leadership role responsible for supporting the construction of residential homes from start to completion. This position assists in coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedules, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met on the job site.  This role works under the direction of senior field leadership while developing the skills necessary to independently manage home builds. Essential Functions:  * Assist in managing daily on-site residential construction activities * Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks * Assist with maintaining and updating construction schedules to support trade sequencing * Support senior staff in scheduling trades and adjusting timelines as needed * Assist detail carpenters with finish and punch related work as needed * Monitor job site safety, cleanliness, and organization * Track construction progress and provide regular updates to supervisors * Participate in quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction * Assist in identifying and resolving routine field issues * Help manage material deliveries and verify correct installation * Support punch list completion and final home readiness * Attend inspections and ensure work aligns with building codes and company standards * Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation * Other duties as assigned Experience/Education/Competencies: * High School Diploma/GED required * Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or related degree preferred * 2-5 years of residential construction or related field experience * Valid, current driver’s license required * Basic understanding of homebuilding processes and trade sequencing * Familiarity with finish carpentry or willingness to assist hands on when needed * Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications (preferred) * Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills * Willingness to learn and grow into an independent Superintendent role * Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship * Basic problem-solving ability * Willingness to be hands-on when needed to support field progress * Effective communication with trades and team members * Time management and task prioritization * Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic * Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook required * Valid, current driver’s license required                                                                                                          Career Path:  This role is designed as a development position with the opportunity to advance to a Superintendent II based on performance, experience, and demonstrated ability to independently manage home construction. Working Condtion: * Primarily outdoor setting. The expected work hours are to report at a consistently scheduled time and is seldom absent. * This position requires later hours, which may include evenings and weekends to cater to the workload. * Requires the ability to work at and/or travel to various sites/communities daily and to transport tools and materials as required. Physical Requirments:  * Frequently requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, squat, kneel, stand, walk, reach, pull, push, twist, climb and to sit for extended periods of time and in different climates. * Frequently, you must be able to read and comprehend, write effectively and professionally, perform minor calculations, orally communicate with all levels within the organization, reason and analyze data. * The main equipment/machinery used is the computer, telephone, and occasionally a variety of hand tools.
