Monday to Friday – Perth Based Role   Company contribution to private health insurance Performance, Retention, and Profit Share Bonuses Key leadership role with the ability to make a true impact   About the role Hancock Iron Ore is seeking a motivated and results-driven Superintendent Control – Rail and Fixed Plant to join our Integrated Remote Operations team. Reporting to the Manager Control, you will provide leadership to a skilled team responsible for ensuring the safe and seamless execution of daily tasks across our fixed plant infrastructure, rail, and port operations. This diverse scope includes crushing, process plant, train load out, port loading facility, train control, and our extensive water network.   You will oversee a dedicated team of seventy, who are based at our state-of-the-art Remote Operations Centre (ROC) in Perth. Your direct reports will include four Plant Control Supervisors, four Senior Train Schedulers and a Production Specialist. Your leadership will be key in driving operational excellence, maintaining the highest standards of production data quality, and fostering collaboration between diverse teams.   This is excellent an opportunity to make a real impact, guiding skilled professionals and optimising performance across one of Australia’s most dynamic iron ore operations.   Duties Be responsible for the culture, safety, and performance of the Plant Control and Train Control teams Provide relevant and timely information to all stakeholders in the execution of plant and train control processes  Identify development needs to coach and mentor the team Foster collaborative working relationships across the control teams and inter-departments and escalate issues to management when necessary Ensure conformance to processes and appropriate use of SCADA and other production reporting tools Facilitate daily reviews of production KPIs, monitor data entry and validation processes, and ensure consistent performance and support across shifts Define and support safety leadership behaviours that drive a high-performance culture   Skills and experience Proven experience within the mining industry, including experience in a senior mine or port position Demonstrated experience supervising a team with the ability to coach and mentor others Ability to analyse and interpret operational data to drive continuous improvement Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build positive relationships Passion and enthusiasm for improving operational performance Experience in a remote operations centre will be beneficial   Perth ROC Facilities Free on-site parking at remote operational centre (ROC) Modern spacious office with break-out facilities In-house café providing variety of hot & cold food options and barista coffee Flexi Leave available to all Perth based office staff Flexible working hours outside of core business hours Active social club with community events and activities for employees Lifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your family   About Hancock Iron OreThe world of iron ore is evolving, and so are we. Atlas Iron and Roy Hill have joined forces to become Hancock Iron Ore, building on our combined strengths of resilience and innovation.  Our portfolio of world-class iron ore operations located in West Australia’s Pilbara region has a strong history of delivering reliable products for our customers in key international markets.  As one team under Hancock Iron Ore, we have four operating mines: Roy Hill, Miralga Creek, Sanjiv Ridge, and Mount Webber, with McPhee Creek under construction plus a range of exciting development opportunities.
