Responsibilities

The Murrin Murrin Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EIC) Team provides technical expertise and support to Maintenance, Production, Operations and Capital Projects delivering sustaining and improvement strategies and Owner’s engineering. The Team works closely with the MMO Electrical Maintenance teams in championing the maintenance plan for critical electrical assets to ensure compliance to the maintenance strategy.
The Superintendent – EIC Engineering leads the Team to support Murrin Murrin Operations’ goals of outstanding EHS performance, maximising plant performance by improving reliability, availability and effectiveness of plant control and instrument and electrical equipment while reducing operating costs and capital expenditure.
You will be responsible for:
Leading the EIC Team.
Managing the delivery of the EIC Business Plan activities.
Managing the technical support and stewardship of the reliability, maintenance and upgrade of the Plant Distributed Control System, Plant Programmable Logic Controllers, Plant Safety Instrumented and Emergency Shutdown Systems, and various communication systems.
Managing the technical support and stewardship of the reliability, maintenance and upgrade of the Plant electrical distribution systems and equipment, motors and motor control equipment, electrical protection systems and Class B gas appliances.
Managing the technical support and stewardship of the reliability, maintenance and upgrade of the Plant instruments.
Ensuring the integrity of designated Hazardous Areas and installed equipment, systems and drawings meet requirements of Australian Standards.
Managing Technical Data ensuring relevant documentation is kept current and meets the requirements of MMO and Australian Standards.
Championing the preventative maintenance plan to ensure works meet Statutory Compliance with work standards set down in equipment maintenance strategies, Australian Standards and other regulatory acts and standards.
Leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations into equipment and system breakdowns with a view to improving asset reliability, availability and utilisation as appropriate for the supporting business case.
Implementing proactive engineering systems to prevent and predict plant failure, thereby improving asset utilisation, asset integrity and reliability.
Seeking opportunities to improve equipment and plant performance & maintenance cost reductions.
Providing discipline support to future growth and sustaining capital projects including Technical Scope of Work development, deliverable identification and technical assurance.
Managing assigned Service Agreement Contracts.
