ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on 9-day fortnight at our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.
As the Superintendent Design Services your role is to lead effective management and delivery of Engineering Design Services across the Worsley Operation including Capital project front-end loading to ensure effective Capital portfolio delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads the Design Services team including development, engagement, vision, performance and results of team members.
• Designs plant and equipment and manages the design risks.
• Provides Design process guidance and training to South32 employees and contractors to the South32.
• Implements improved design techniques and solutions to support operations (3D blueprint, Engineering Data Warehouse).
• To ensure that systems, processes and governance for document and records management are instituted and fit-for-purpose for the Operation.
• Promote operational discipline and high performance in work execution and enhance the technical knowledge of team members.
