SUMMARY   Mortenson is currently seeking a Superintendent I that will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and supervising assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities in a particular area of discipline, while developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.      RESPONSIBILITIES  * Plan and implement to ensure all materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule  * Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability  * Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies  * Develop and manage project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules  * Develop a site logistics plan and lead the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment  * Collaborate with project partner superintendents  * Conduct on-site project orientations, pre-construction planning sessions, and project site meetings  * Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews; interview, hire, transfer, and dismiss craft team members as needed  * Coach and mentor assistant superintendents, craft team members, and other project team members  * Ensure proper task coding of work hours on timecards, track work progress and craft productivity  * Handle craft team member training and conduct career development discussions  * Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels  * Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and manage performance  * Provide high-level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team members  * Recognize and mitigate unfavorable working conditions and seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures    QUALIFICATIONS  * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years trade experience  * Minimum 5 years construction management or related experience  * Current driver’s license  * Ability to fulfill responsibilities for multiple, complex projects  * Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks  * Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices  * Intermediate Microsoft Office skills  * Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills  * Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies  * Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback  * Ability to travel up to 100%  * Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans    A few benefits offered include:   (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)  * Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage   * Dental plan   * 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match   * Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves   * Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance   * No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources  * Tuition reimbursement   * Adoption Assistance    * Gym Membership Discount Program      **The base pay range for this role is $111,400 - $167,700. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).    Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.  This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.    #LI-CB1 #LI-
