OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and hands-on Superintendent/Cleaner to join our property management team. This is a live-in, full-time role responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of residential properties while providing excellent service to tenants. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail, capable of handling both cleaning and basic maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will also work in conjunction with other team members to cover on-call responsibilities at other properties within the GTA. Salary plus apartment benefit and utilities to start.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as a superintendent, cleaner, or in building maintenance is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of general repairs and cleaning practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Must be available for emergency on-call duties.
  • Valid driver’s license is an asset.

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with rotating on-call responsibilities evenings/weekends.
  • Compensation: Competitive annual salary (plus on-site apartment provided).

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning of common areas (lobbies, hallways, elevators, laundry rooms, garbage/recycling rooms, etc.).
  • Conduct routine inspections of building interior and exterior, reporting and addressing deficiencies promptly.
  • Carry out minor maintenance and repair tasks (plumbing, electrical, painting, door hardware, etc.).
  • Respond to tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain and operate building systems (heating, cooling, ventilation) as trained.
  • Ensure building security by monitoring access points and addressing unauthorized entry.
  • Supervise and coordinate contractors and vendors as required.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies both on-site and other locations throughout the GTA as may be required.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire code, and municipal by-laws.
