QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma of college studies in a relevant field of study; and
• Six years of relevant experience.

OR

• Secondary V diploma or valid certificate of qualification for the practice of a trade relevant to the position; and
• 10 years of relevant experience.

The ideal candidate also has:

• A practical knowledge and understanding of IT systems, including those used in education (GRICS, MS365);
• Demonstrated skills in managing a team and the ability to work in a collaborative environment;
• A willingness to learn new systems and new equipment;
• The ability to take initiative, multitask and demonstrate flexibility in responding to changing priorities;
• An understanding of how information technology integrates into pedagogical practice
• Biligual

Under the authority of the Director of Systems & IT Services, the Superintendent is responsible for:

• Ensuring compliance with industry best practices, particularly in terms of security;
• Drafting and updating documentation (operational and functional procedures, network master plans, systems architecture, technical specifications, etc.);
• Participating in the drawing up of objectives, programs, policies, projects, and budget of the Department;
• Ensuring infrastructure in maintained, such as Internet connection, VoIP phones and intercom systems;
• Ensuring the storage and protection of data and software;
• Representing New Frontiers on various committees;
• Supervising and evaluating personnel under the incumbent’s authority.
