Responsibilities: Your role is to ensure all Tailings Storage Facility activities meet international best practices, regulatory requirements, and company standards. This role oversees construction and technical compliance to safeguard environmental integrity, operational safety, and regulatory adherence. It is critical for mitigating risks, closing audit findings, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Required skills: You have an advanced knowledge of tailings management standards (MAC GISTM, etc.) – a Professional certification in dam safety or tailings management is preferred; Hands-on experience with geotechnical instrumentation, geotechnical investigations, and water balance management; Strong Background in large-scale mining projects and regulatory compliance; Demonstrated leadership in team management, stakeholder coordination, and risk management; Comprehensive knowledge of Tailings Storage Facility design, operation, closure principles, and international standards (MAC, GISTM, ICOLD, etc); Deep knowledge of local and international tailings and water management regulations; experience with ESG standards and audits; Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficiency in GIS and geotechnical modeling software; bilingual (French/English) preferred; A minimum 10 years in tailings facility construction or operations; Skilled in project planning tools (MS Project, Primavera), budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation; You holder an Engineering degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Construction or equivalent / Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent are an advantage.
