JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be required to assist the project construction superintendent with plan development, training, environmental health and safety (ES&H), quality review and technical support, and will participate in the direction of professional craft activities. Your work will help to ensure that construction operations are planned to coincide with the established general schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Requires an Engineering degree (or international equivalent) related to the position and 3-5 years of relevant experience. It is desirable to have an A1 license older than 5 years.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Knowledge in industrial electrical installations.
• Knowledge in electrical substations and industrial automation.
• Knowledge of the National Electricity Code.
• Knowledge in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of planning tools (3WLA).

• Leading craft activities under the supervision of the superintendent and is responsible for plan development, training, ES&H, quality, etc.
• Participating in the elaboration of constructive plans and sketches.
• Participating in the development of construction planning methods and procedures.
• Developing projections and schedules for labor, materials and equipment requirements.
• Monitoring the use of tools and equipment on the site.
• Preparing requests for Field Materials for tools and consumables and ensures crafts have the tools they need to be productive.
• Supervising the installation of materials and equipment to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, suppliers and other requirements.
• Implementing and enforcing related policies, procedures and work rules as established by field construction management.
• Working with Construction Site Engineers, Foremen and Trade Professionals, in the interpretation of engineering design documents, supplier documents and other technical documents.
• Participating in the coordination of engineering solutions with Subcontractors, Foremen and Professionals of the Trade.
