· Qualifications:

  • BA in Behavioural Sciences with working knowledge of ASD/Behavioural Sciences (Autism) Diploma and ABA trained (preferred).
  • Minimum one year of experience working with children with exceptionalities, preferably ASD
  • Understand augmentative communication systems
  • Knowledge of a variety of therapies including DTT, NET
  • Ability to follow written programming
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary setting
  • Excellent communication skills, outstanding organizational capacity, strong attention to details.
  • Current Police Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • Available to work on Saturdays

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Supervising Therapist and Clinical Supervisor to implement and deliver treatments based on principles of ABA
  • Independently identify supports and barriers for learning for each child and bring this information to therapy on a daily basis to enhance child’s response to treatment
  • Collect data and record findings, including record and graph data; write case notes at the end of every session for parents and clinical team
  • Flag exceptional circumstances, identify need for changes to program plan when required
  • Report to assigned Supervising Therapist/Clinical Supervisor regarding program goals/effectiveness of program
