Job Description and Duties
The CA Department of Water Resources (DWR) is the lead state agency tasked with the development and construction of projects that address the largest environmental challenge in the State’s history. As part of the State’s Salton Sea Management Program, DWR partners with CA Natural Resources Agency and CA Department of Fish and Wildlife to deliver transformative restoration projects around the receding Salton Sea. DWR is seeking a supervising engineer that enjoys working with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to identify creative solutions to challenging environmental problems. Under general direction of the Lead Manager of DWR’s Salton Sea Restoration Office (SSRO), this position is responsible for directing the staff and consultants of the SSRO Engineering Program Support Section to develop and implement habitat restoration and dust suppression projects, operation and maintenance plans, and support operation and maintenance activities among SSRO field sections.
