QUALIFICATION

Required:

  • Master s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology is required.
  • LCSW or LPC required.
  • 2 years Clinical experience
  • Supervisory Certificate for NJ
  • Knowledge of the Dynamics of Domestic Violence
  • Completion of the required 40 Hour Domestic Violence training preferred/must be completed within 6 months of hire.
  • Knowledge of the DYFS System helpful
  • Bi-lingual (English Spanish) preferred but not necessary

Responsibilities

Provide overall direction and coordination of clinical services to residents and non-residents.

  • Provide Crisis Intervention and assist clients in identifying their need for Domestic Violence services.
  • Provide individual counseling to residents and non-residents.
  • Facilitate weekly support groups as needed.
  • Provide Community Education and support outreach as needed.
  • Responsible for other duties assigned by the Program Direct
  • Provide Crisis Intervention and assist clients in identifying their need for Domestic Violence
  • Provide weekly Clinical Supervision for our Domestic Violence Liaisons, who handle complex client cases involving the co-occurrence of Child Abuse and Domestic Violence by helping them to attain knowledge, improve their skills, and strengthen their professional attitudes and values.
  • Provide weekly Clinical Supervision to our Licensed Counsel
  • Help staff understand and respond more effectively to all types of clinical situations by creating a supportive and trustworthy environment in which to explore all client related concerns.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of multicultural perspectives to enhance cultural competency of the agency.
  • Provide Supervision to interns when needed.
  • Maintain confidential documentation and records.
