Description
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Supervisor position is responsible for supporting the Controller in the direction, supervision and development of the Accounting team. The selected candidate will be responsible for a broad spectrum of activities, including leading monthly close process to issue timely (monthly, quarterly, annual) and complete financial statements in accordance with GAAP, monitoring and assessing on-going internal process to push for efficiency, automation and accuracy of financial management and financial systems. Facilitating the drive of accounting initiatives, a variety of financial analyses, and special projects. This opportunity has strong growth potential and will expand with the growth of the Firm. You'll interact with all departments in the organization, while also developing, managing and mentoring the Accounting team. General functions include: Revenue Cycle, Inventory Cycle, Fixed & Leased Assets, General Ledger, Payables and Receivables, Internal Controls, and Compliance and Governance. · Responsible for managing operational data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy. · Assist the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements. · Assist in the month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation. · Self-motivated, career-oriented perspective with ability to actively participate as part of a high-performing team. · Ability to communicate across functions and levels while articulating complex concepts. · Presentation presence to manage communications at executive and lower levels. · Leadership experience to manage and lead cross-functional projects & mentor associates · Accounting experience to address complex cost management processes and identify business risks and opportunities. · Ability to effectively develop policy and procedure conceptually; document and develop these to deploy effectively. · Project expertise to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. · Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting, Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) preferred. · 5-8 years of experience in public/private accounting required; with at least 3 years within a manufacturing environment. · Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred · Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong computer skills. · Strong organizational and time management skills. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills
