Since its establishment in 2013, the Sofia Finance Shared Services center has been operating for over 10 years with a proven track of record of success and growth and is designed to serve our global customers across various financial functions, including Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Order to Cash. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational leadership to the global Accounts Payable teams, including regional teams, supervisors, and senior specialists. Oversee end-to-end AP operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor queries across multiple legal entities and regions. Develop, implement, and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and performance dashboards to ensure operational excellence and accountability. Drive global process standardization, automation (e.g., RPA, AI-enabled OCR), and continuous improvement across invoice-to-pay processes. Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Treasury, and Compliance teams to optimize P2P performance, working capital, and risk management. Ensure adherence to internal controls (SOX), tax and regulatory requirements, and corporate policies, especially in highly regulated environments (e.g., clinical research). Manage internal and external audit requirements; support statutory, group, and management reporting as needed. Lead and develop a high-performing AP team; coach and mentor direct reports and identify future leadership talent. Lead or support global transformation projects, ERP rollouts, business transitions, and M&A integrations. Represent the AP function in governance forums, business reviews, and stakeholder engagements at senior levels. Basic Requirements: University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred. 3–6 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or P2P, with at least 2 years in a people management or leadership role. Strong understanding of global P2P operating models, controls, compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and tax implications (e.g., VAT, WHT). Proven experience managing large, distributed teams in a shared services or multinational environment. Demonstrated ability to lead process optimization, automation, and change initiatives. Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership and cross-functional partners. ERP proficiency (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba) and familiarity with payment and invoice automation tools.
