Description

We are currently seeking an interim Cafe Supervisor with full-time availability (including evenings, weekends, and holidays) for our Niagara on the Lake cafe. The interim contract is set to conclude in April of 2026 and will be reassessed at its conclusion.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a café supervisor, your role is to assist the manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning. Your responsibilities include overseeing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining quality standards, and handling financial and administrative tasks. You will supervise staff, provide training, and manage inventory and budgets. Additionally, you handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a safe and clean environment. Your role involves promoting teamwork, implementing promotional strategies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
The hours of work for this position may vary based on the needs of the café and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position is full-time only.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience: Previous experience in the industry, barista experience preferred.
· Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership abilities, effective communication, and decision-making skills.
· Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints.
· Knowledge of Café Operations: Understanding of cash handling, inventory management, quality control, and health and safety regulations.

· Problem-Solving Abilities: Aptitude for resolving operational challenges, customer issues and staff conflicts.
