JOB SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a passionate, energetic, and reliable Team Leader Barista to join our team at our vibrant beach café. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves great coffee, and has strong leadership skills. As a Team Leader Barista, you’ll be responsible for leading by example, ensuring high-quality service and drinks, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the café.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience as a barista, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong coffee knowledge and passion for the specialty coffee industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure, especially during peak hours.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
• Experience in a beachside or high-volume café environment is a plus.
• Basic food hygiene or barista certifications are a bonus.

• Lead the barista team during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
• Prepare high-quality coffee and espresso-based drinks according to café standards.
• Train and mentor junior baristas and new team members.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming café environment.
• Manage stock levels for coffee, milk, and related supplies; report low inventory.
• Open and close the café, including cash handling and till reconciliation.
• Resolve customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
• Ensure health and safety and food hygiene standards are always upheld.
• Support seasonal or special events and promotions at the beach café.
