Jefferson Healthcare (www.jeffersonhealthcare.org) is looking for a full time Business Informatics Supervisor to join our team. The Business Informatics Supervisor is responsible for the oversight, implementation, support, and optimization of non-EMR software applications within the hospital environment. This includes business, operational, and clinical support systems such as the ERP, HR, supply chain, finance, and custom or third-party applications. This role collaborates with teams that contribute to integration efforts between systems, optimizations and maintenance of current systems. Contributes to planning and execution of future application deployments to support hospital strategy and operations.

This is a full time, exempt position, and will remain open until filled.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Health Informatics, Computer Science, related field, or experience relevant to this required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Informatics, software support, IT, or similar field required.
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
  • At least 1 year experience with business systems and/or applications preferred.
  • Strong background in system integration, data exchange standards (i.e. HL7, sFTP), and interface engines knowledge preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred (PMP or similar certification a plus).

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of analysts and support staff with responsibility for ensuring the non-EMR software systems are operational, updated, and appropriately integrated
  • Ensure team maintains up-to-date documentation for system configurations, interfaces, workflows, and support procedures
  • Ensure all customers receive timely support and communication on projects
  • Provide direct application support assistance as needed
  • Collaborates on system integration initiatives, working closely with teams such as IT, CI, Data Analytics and Process Improvement team members as necessary to ensure seamless interoperability and data flow.
  • Cultivate vendor relationships and ensure service levels meet contractual obligations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for system vendors, consultants, and internal departments regarding non-EMR applications and software.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and operational leaders to evaluate current needs and future software solutions.
