Description

SUPERVISOR

If you’ve got experience of working in a busy bar or restaurant in a supervisory role, we want to hear from you!
Managing four rooms, across two floors, plus outside seating takes experience and skill! We’re looking for an assertive and positive person who can see the bigger picture but is also passionate about delivering excellent customer service every time.
You’ll be a key-holder and responsible for running shifts so it’s important you are confident and reliable. We’ll provide product training but we’ll expect you to deliver first class customer service from day one and for you to support and develop the wider team’s confidence in this area.
You will be a naturally enthusiastic, outgoing ‘people person’ and possess the confidence to be able to train and inspire others.
You will also be expected to support the Directors with stock counting and ordering so attention to detail and accuracy are vital skills to have.
We are inviting applications from hospitality professionals who want to work in a fun and buzzing environment. The successful candidate will be given professional development opportunities after their first year of service, such as WSET wine/spirits training.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Opening and closing and associated responsibilities, as required
  • Supervising shifts; ensuring the highest standards of customer service
  • Managing customer expectations and confidently dealing with any complaints to a positive outcome
  • Manage online bookings, group bookings, walk-ins and attendance at small events within the cafe to ensure the best use of the space
  • Ensuring that the atmosphere, ambience and customer experience matches the ‘Cabinet Rooms’ brand and meets the Directors’ expectations
  • Providing a warm welcome for all customers
  • Providing support and training to members of staff in the delivery of excellent customer care; identifying where best practice should be shared and seeking guidance from the Directors when performance is not satisfactory
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times, including personal hygiene

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven supervisory experience in a restaurant setting
  • Strong team management and leadership skills
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Experience in serving and providing exceptional hospitality
  • Familiarity with bartending and barista skills is a bonus
