Job Description The FCSS department provides social services to the residents of the County. Programs will be directed towards seniors, children, youth, families and volunteers to promote their social and emotional well-being. This position is responsible for community social development by overseeing the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of FCSS Child, Youth and, Family programs. This position also includes recruitment, supervision, education and performance reviews for staff in this stream: Family and Child Development Coordinator, Community School Liaison Counsellors and Summer Day Camp Programmer and Assistant. Job Duties: Overseeing and facilitating community social planning initiatives in consultation with Family and Community staff and community stakeholders Assessing and researching needs, identifying resources and fostering social development initiatives Providing guidance, support and mentoring Working with community stakeholders to secure funding and partnerships that support development activities and programs Administering, evaluating and reporting on community and program initiatives Oversee the administrative duties and documents required to meet playschool licensing requirements Ensure all records are created and maintained according to the County policies Ensuring all work-related information is kept confidential as per policy and in accordance with Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act Assisting the FCSS Director in the preparation and monitoring of the program budget areas Qualifications Degree in the human services field related to social work, child and youth care, psychology, social science or other health-related disciplines Supervisory experience of minimum 5 years working with children, families and community Ability to lead, motivate and coach others Clean Criminal Record Check and Child and Youth Information Services Check Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract Additional Information Contract Length: This is a 6-month term position from the date of hire. Work Schedule: This position works Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm for 35 hours per week. Overtime is paid at a 1.5x rate. Hourly Pay: $58.96 to $69.36 per hour This posting will be open until October 10, 2025 until 11.59 pm Mountain Time.
