Requisition ID # 167202  Job Category: Maintenance / Construction / Operations  Job Level: Supervisor Business Unit: Operations - Other Work Type: Job Location: Rocklin    Position Summary Owns the command and control of outage response management and directs field resources (outage, emergency first responders) involved in system-wide distribution grid monitoring and restoration efforts. Responsible for overseeing the analysis and prioritization of outages to determine the most efficient process for restoration, including communicating with customers to determine restoration needs. Creates and fosters a safe work environment by maintaining complete compliance with company and regulatory safety procedures, policies and practices. This position is onsite. 27 x 7 Shift rotation    PG&E is providing the salary range that can reasonably be expected for this position at the time of the job posting. This salary range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location. The decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.    California –  $137,000 - $150,700     Job Responsibilities   Oversees the daily execution of the Control Center System Operators and Lead System Operators. Leads the team and partners with field Supervision to improve system reliability and customer communications. Reviews documentation, procedures and outcomes of both planned and unplanned outages. Ensures logs are complete and compliant. Reviews the quality of unplanned outage work. Reviews and determines if planned outages really need to occur or if work can be done without outages. Tracks and reports on status of equipment repairs for the critical operating equipment (COE) process. Manages deadlines for compliance requirements including mandated compliance and safety training. Manages budget, monitors, tracks expenditures within authorized amounts and manage overtime spend. Supervises staff to accomplish results through recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, and rewards and recognition. Establishes shift schedules, review and approves time cards.     Qualifications Minimum:   High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma Job-related experience, 3 years CA Class C License, or equivalent Available for 24 x 7 shift rotation   Desired:   Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience Leadership experience, union-represented employees Experience as System Operator, 2 years Experience in electric restoration operations Control room experience Knowledge of electric distribution system concepts, equipment, monitoring and switching methods, techniques and procedures. Understanding of electric outage restoration processes, best practices. Supervisory skills. Communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel Knowledge of safety practices and requirements. Knowledge of the union contract agreements. General financial and budgeting skills.
